- [Woman] In this exercise we'll take a quick look at the pull down menus available in MicroStation. Continue using the file for Chapter 1 Surviving the Interface.dgn. The first interface component that I want to take a look at are the pull-down menus. MicroStation does not provide a ribbon in this version. So we still have pull-down menus and toolboxes as the main resource for accessing tools and commands. Pull-down menus provide a good access point for word-based commands, where an icon on a button would not be as efficient. Using the file pull-down menu, you will find the typical commands such as File Open, Close, New, Save As, and Print, similar to commands found in other Windows applications. These same commands are available on the standard toolbox if you prefer. The Edit pull-down menu provides access to common editing commands such as Undo, Redo, and some of the Windows clipboard and selection tools.
