Using Tool Settings
- [Instructor] In this exercise we will look at using the tool settings dialogue. Continue using the file for chapter one Surviving the Interface dot dgn. Now let's take a look at the tool settings dialogue which is the floating dialogue in the upper left corner of your view window. This dialogue needs to be open all the time. In fact, whenever you select a command this dialogue will open automatically to display the settings that relate to that command. Closing this dialogue won't benefit you because as soon as you select another command, it's going to reopen, providing you the settings or options for that command. This is your default command line window in MicroStation. What you need to do is find someplace on your screen where you can live with the tool settings dialogue always being open.
