- [Woman] In this exercise we are going to take a look at the basics of using AccuSnap. AccuSnap is the simplest way to snap the elements, based on their snapable point. Open the file for Chapter Four using AccuSnap.dgn. And using View Groups, select the Keypoint model. Here you will see a list of all the available snap methods in MicroStation. As you can see, Keypoint is the most common snap mode available in MicroStation, and is similar to many different OSNAPs, that were available in AutoCAD. By default AccuSnap is enabled, which provides a dynamic method for snapping to elements. Very similar to using the icons to snap an AutoCAD. A yellow x displays when a viable snap point has been located. Without the yellow x, you do not have a snapable point. There are several access points for changing and defining the active snap, or OSNAP modes, in MicroStation. The first access point is to open the snap toolbox.
