Types of AccuSnaps

- [Instructor] This exercise will demonstrate how to use AccuSnap with the MicroStation snap modes. Continue using the file for chapter two, Using AccuSnap.dgn, and using View Groups, select the Keypoint Divisor 2 model. The default snap mode in MicroStation is called a keypoint snap. The keypoint snap uses the divisor setting that controls how many snappable points are available on an element. The keypoint divisor is set to two by default. This means that all elements or segments of an element are divided by two to determine their snappable points. For example, look at this line element. I have placed graphic representations to demonstrate where the snappable points are on all the different element types. You can see the line's snappable point are endpoint, midpoint, and endpoint. The arc has the same snap points as the line, endpoint, midpoint, and endpoint. The smart line also has the three snappable points on each segment of the continuous line. The same applies to shapes.
