- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at how to use the stretch command. Continue using the file for chapter six, Manupulate Basic Geometry.dgn. Using view group, select the stretch model. The stretch command is also on the manipulate toolbox. If I select the stretch command, the only option I really have is whether I want to stretch cells or not. So I will go ahead and turn that off for now. The stretch command allows me to stretch elements like they are rubber. This is easier than moving edges and having to clean up the graphics using other commands. The stretch command in MicroStation, is almost identical to the stretch command in AutoCAD. In this example, I want to move the right edge of the smart line, so that it is 50 feet longer in the X direction.
