In-tool editing supports
- [Male Instructor] Meshmixer has an awesome ability to add and remove support structures dynamically. I'm starting off with the bunny right here. I've scaled the bunny up from the default 50 in the y direction to 80, so that a little bit more support structures are generated. Go to here to Analysis, to Overhangs. I'm going to go down just to, for ease of showing you to the Ultimaker Two settings. And click Generate Support. Meshmixer thinks about it for a second and creates support. Now, Meshmixer will try its best to create support that works. But in some areas, it's unable to do so and it doesn't really give you feedback when the supports are not optimal. So, if you look down here under Support Generator, we see that the base diameter is 15 millimeters. So that means that each one of these disks at the bottom is 15 millimeters, and Meshmixer has no problem overlapping multiple disks into one. But in some cases, it's unable to fit a disk at all.
