Why face groups are your best friend

- [Instructor] Another consideration when you are sculpting with digital clay is how to influence, or manipulate, certain areas on your mesh accurately. I've imported a sphere here, which I will just turn on Wireframe by pressing W. Just a plain sphere that you can get by going to file to import sphere. And, you can use what's called Face Groups. So, in order to see this, you need a couple of things. Make sure that you're in the Meshmixer mode. It's the easiest way to see the face groups. And if you hold down the space bar, make sure that your color, right here let me move this sphere aside. Make sure that your color, right here, is set to this one. This is vertex color, this is paint that would show up in 3D printing. But we want the informational colors that mesh mixer does. So make sure that this one is dark, or enabled. The other way to do that is to go to file, to preferences, and under preferences under mesh color mode, make sure it's on group color. So the way that this works…
