Why do separate bodies matter? Booleans and exporting
- [Instructor] So why do you really need to care about separate bodies, whether they are in the same container, or whether they are in a different container? Well for a few things. We have two objects here, if you wanted to export these objects together so that they printed in the same file on a 3D printer, you would need to make sure of a couple things. If you go into file, to preferences, and go to file here, under export it says selection only or whole scene. So right now under selection only, only the copy of this bunny would be exported when we export out to STL or OBJ format. If we say export whole scene, what that means is that no matter what is selected here, everything will be exported out. So if we say export whole scene and click done, go file, to export, and just name this bunny. When we go to file to import, and we're just going to replace it here, and choose the bunny, what we have is two separate objects that come into Meshmixer. So it does not export them out as one…
