Weld Boundaries
- [Instructor] This video is on the Weld Boundaries command. I'll show you what that does. Weld Boundaries means, if there are two edges that absolutely, 100%, overlap. They are the same edge in exactly the same place, Weld Boundaries will make them one and make them whole again. But it's very hard to get edges that are exactly in the right place unless they started in the right place to begin with. So I'll show you how to get that. Go to Edit, to Plain Cut. What we're going to do is go to, say, Slice with No Fill. So what this will do. I'll say Accept. Is create a slice through where, we have one side of the model that is completely separated from the other. I'll cancel that out. So what Weld Boundaries will do, we'll go and say Select. And double-click on this side of the model. Double-click on this side of the model and say Weld Boundaries. Meshmixer sees there's a boundary between those two sides and, when we say Accept, and turn on Wireframe mode, you see the line is still there…
