Transform! (Or, more rightly: Using the transform tools)
- [Instructor] I talked in the previous video about how to use the Extrude tool to get volume quickly. But there are some other tools that are also very, very powerful as well you can use in conjunction with Extrude. I'm going to go in here to Select, do something like this, and instead of just keeping these kind-of jagged edges, going to hit the B key, B as in boy, or B as in boundary, to smooth boundary, to get a nice circular shape that I can then go up and extrude. So this is what we would expect. We could extrude this up. Click Accept, and if we clear this selection, we see that a face group is created on the top and on the sides. So back in the Select tool, I'm going to double-click on this face group. But now I'm going to go to the Deform tool. So this deforms the selection. So transform is very useful in that it allows you to move the mesh. It adds and subtracts triangles as you would need. So that's pretty cool to make things very, very accurate and uniform. This is a great…
