Separate - Meshmixer Tutorial
From the course: Meshmixer: Function and Command Reference
Separate
- [Instructor] This video is on the separate command. It's actually very easy to understand, so this should be a very quick video. Go into Select, select some part of your mesh or you know, whatever you want. Go into Edit, choose Separate, which is hot key Y, so the people who created the mesh mixer expect this tool be used quite a bit. Click on Separate, now that is a separate body. You can hide it, you can hide all objects, you can just work on other objects and then use weld boundaries or other things to bring it back. But essentially, that body, that selection is now separated into its own object. And as having different objects, you can do things with it, manipulate it, just like you can with any other separate object. So that is a separate command.
