Overhangs

- [Instructor] This is an overview of the Overhangs function which creates support structures in Meshmixer. So we're starting off with the default bunny here. If you go to Overhangs, you start to see the bunny highlighted. Now the first thing to do with overhangs is understand where they're going to be placed. Based on these settings, everywhere that's red will get overhangs. It's also good to understand too that this is all based on the ground plane that we can't see right now. If you go up to View and Show Grid, you can now see where this bunny would be sitting on a 3D print bed. Now, this angle threshold is something that you would change based on the settings of your printer to give you more or less overhang amount. There are custom settings inside of here for MakerBot replicators, Ultimakers, dremel printers, all sorts of things. This is based on a 45-degree angle threshold.
