Orienting a model

- In this video, we'll correct the orientation of our model. I like to line up the object to the grid in my workspace so that I can more easily use the standard views. I want to start by orbiting into a side view and I'll do that by holding down the center scroll wheel on my model. You can see that it sort of snaps into place. Let's go to the Edit menu and choose Transform. Then I'll grab this red grip here and rotate this into place. You can see that if I mouse over this wheel here that it will snap in 5-degree increments, but if I'm inside or outside, I can sort of rotate freely. I'll rotate him so his chin's sort of facing up there. Notice the transform gizmo. I'm in L for local, and that means that the gizmo will change along with my object. If I switch this to W for world, after each rotation it will reset it back to the sort of world coordinates. You can toggle back and forth between these two options, depending on how it works for you. That's pretty good for a side view. Now…
