Offset
- [Instructor] This video is on the offset tool. So I have the default bunny here. Click on Select. Select an area inside of the bunny. Go up to Edit. To Offset. And also note that Offset is Control + D, Extract is Shift + D, and Extrude is D. So all of these are somewhat related to each other and I'll show you how. We're going to click on Offset and it offsets. So what this does is creates a skin right here at 2.15 millimeters away that is connected to the rest of the bunny. If we drag this out, it comes out more and more. If I hit W, you see that it has done a pretty good job at recreating the skin of the bunny, but now it is enlarged a little bit because it's coming out. If we turn up Accuracy, we can see the mesh get more and more dense. So sometimes you might want that, sometimes you might not. Or you can make it much less accurate, if you want kind of a vague representation of it. We're going to keep this around 50, right here. Typing in 50. So Regularity is how regular you want…
