- Hi, my name is Nick Kloski, and I'm here to introduce you to the 3D print prep Meshmixer class. Meshmixer is a fantastic 3D modeling program that's able to handle huge meshes, digital sculpting, mesh repair, and tons of other workflows. But, it's Meshmixer's ability to bridge the gap between digital creation and the physical realm that's one of it's standout features. Meshmixer has the ability to analyze how objects will most successfully 3D print in physical form, and then help you get to that perfect print.
This section of videos deals with how Meshmixer can analyze and repair meshes for physical production, and how you can use Meshmixer's tools to create support structures for complex 3D prints that can often cut down printing times by half or even more. Look into the next videos on techniques such as how to analyze and repair non-manifold models, how to fix common errors in your mesh, and some great starting tips to create tree like support structures in your model that you would then 3D print, saving you time and hassle over a more conventional support structure generation tools.
If you have a dual or multi extruder, multi material capable 3D printer, we even have a section in here for you as well. All right, let's get started with the modeling and printing. See you in the class.
