How shaders affect modeling

- [Instructor] One of the things you need to make sure that you do when you are doing generative creative things with Meshmixer is make sure that you have the correct shader on. So let me go to an incorrect shader. So maybe you would love to sculpt with shiny gold, so that's great, let's do some sculpting, let's go to the inflate tool here, which will inflate towards us. I'll make my mouse nice and big, and do some inflation. Now it kind of looks like it inflated towards me, but if we turn, it actually inflated away. Why is that? The inflate tool should actually go towards us. If we go on this side, the inflation tool works correctly, but on this side, it doesn't. So the reason for that is the reason why you should use a more informational shader than something that might look great. Under shaders right here, you have all sorts of options, and it might be super fun to work on something like this that's shiny and purple, or something like this that is shiny and red, I even like this…
