Downloading GIMP for photo editing
- [Instructor] In order to create a three-D model out of a photograph, we are going to be using the Stencil tool. The Stencil tool is under the Sculpt, Surface, so switch this to the Surface, and then Stencil tool. So Stencil tool applies shapes onto your mesh like this, or with different settings you can do it very accurately or kind of make cool patterns on your mesh. But these stencils are absolutely square pictures. We need to go and download a different piece of software outside of Meshmixer to get that square photograph. What I want you to do is go to gimp.org, G-I-M-P dot org. Gimp is an open source photo editor similar to Adobe Photoshop, but this is free. So go and download gimp. It's available for all different computer distributions, Mac, PC, Linux; and load that up. The next section we'll talk about actually resizing and coloring your image inside gimp, so once you've downloaded that go to the next video
