Detailing with brushes - Meshmixer Tutorial
From the course: 3D Scanning a Person
Detailing with brushes
- Let's explore the brush tools. We'll use them to sculpt and smooth our mesh. Before we start sculpting, let's switch the active shader. Let's go to shaders here, and we can drag and drop a new one on our mesh, and I'm going to use the hot box by pressing the space bar, and clicking on FaceGroup color instead. You can see here that there are some colored patches on our model, and we may not have noticed them as they popped up, but these are actually FaceGroups, for in the Select tools, and we can double-click on these to automatically select these areas. These areas were created while we were smoothing and filling and extending, these are created by default. We don't really need them anymore, so I'm going to use either Command or Control + a to select all of the surfaces of our mesh, and then I'll choose Modify and Clear FaceGroups, and you can see that all of the FaceGroups are gone, and now I'm going to stay in this sort of green shader for a little bit, the color is still there…
