3D printing with Meshmixer

- In this video, we'll use Meshmixer's 3D printing tools to prepare our model for printing on a desktop printer like a Makerbot. Want to use Shapeways to 3D print instead? Skip ahead to the next chapter. Let's go to Print to open the 3D printing tools. Up at the top here I have Makerbot Replicator 2 chosen. There are a handful of brands here on this list. If you don't see yours you can choose Sample Printer and then edit the printer properties. Let's start by transforming our object. In the side tab here I'm going to choose Fit To Build Volume, and Move To Platform. Then I can orbit around here. I'm going to grab that green triangle and sort of move it towards the center, and then choose Done. I like that orientation. Our model is already repaired. We have a green check mark. But if you have any problems, you can click on the Tools here and perform some repairs from within the 3D Printing Tools. I'll click Done. Now it's time to add supports.
