- [Instructor] When moving the play head around in the timeline window or dragging clip segments around, you can snap to the beginnings or ends of items on the timeline in much the same way that you can use the rewind and fast forward buttons to jump between cut points. We've got a clip up here, and I'm just going to activate the timeline window and I'm going to move the cursor up to the red mode just so I can move this around easily and show you what I mean. First of all, let's start with the play head. As I drag and scrub through the content of the timeline, obviously, by default, I can do this smoothly and see my action, but if I hold down Command on Mac OS or Control in Windows, you'll notice that the play head just snaps always to the first frames of your clips or as we found earlier, by snapping to the first frame of the filler in the background, if instead I hold down the Option key or Alt key at the same time as the Command key, now as I drag I'm getting the last frames of…
