Replacing existing material

- Naturally sometimes, you're going to want to replace the contents of a clip in a sequence and the workflow I want to show you is a really clever trick. It's not exactly moving contents within a sequence but it does allow you to replace a clip that's already there. I've got this 6_39_ 2 shot in my sequence and I definitely don't want it, it's just a repeat of the end of the clip before it. So, I found a replacement shot, which is the 7_33_2 clip. I've opened this in my source monitor and I've removed the in and out points that I previously added. I'm just going to use my playhead and my position indicator as an in-point and media composer will do that automatically. Next up, I'm making sure that I'm in the right override or left override segment mode in my timeline window, 'cause I want to perform an override edit and replace the contents of this segment, let's just switch that on.
