Perform a radio edit
- [Instructor] When editing dialogue, usually it's more important that you get the timing for the audio right than it is that you get the visuals right. Audiences are more forgiving when the visuals don't match up than they are when the sound doesn't. Cutting to the sound in this way is often called a radio edit. And I thought it'd be worth just running through how to approach a radio edit, here in Media Composer. I'm going to make a new sequence. So, here in the Sequences bin, I'm going to right click and choose New Sequence and I'm going to type Radio edit. I've got four clips in a bin here called Radio edit media, and I'm going to open one of these up. Let's start with this shot. 4D-2, I think is perfect. Or maybe we can begin with 4D-1. Now, to speed things up here, I've put in and out marks onto these clips just to get a rough idea of where we want to cut.
