Manage media scaling
- [Instructor] By copying in those AVB files, I've added some media to our project. And let's take a look in this Anesthesia Dailies bin. We've got a few clips here that we can work with and if I scroll over and take a look at the video information, I can see that this is the DNXHR codec, that's the resolution independent codec. It's LB, the low bandwidth version, and it's 1280 by 720 and the audio sample rate is 48,000. That all sounds fine. However, we created this project to be UHD so it's 3840 by 2160. And if we use this media in our project with its current format, during playback, Media Composer's going to scale up this video footage and that's extra work for your computer to perform. It's going to impact playback performance. There's no real benefit in scaling up the media in this way, especially if we're just reviewing the dailies or even building our sequences from those dailies with the intention of replacing the…
