Duplicating a project

- [Instructor] Because Media Composer , has a file based project management system. It's relatively easy for you to make copies and backups of your projects. One way is to simply duplicate the folder in the Avid Projects folder on your machine. And the slight problem with that is if you try to open a project and you've changed the name of the folder, you won't necessarily have the correct project name, when you get into the Media Composer application. The folder is a container inside of which , you have an AVP file, which contains information about the project and a settings file also named after the project. A quick way to fix this is to make a new project, in the initial project selection dialogue in Media Composer. And let's just take a look at that.
