- [Instructor] We have our new project ready to go, but also I'd like to create a new user profile. If you're working with a user profile that you've taken from an older version of Media Composer, there is an option to update the file to the new version once we get into the Settings window. But if you haven't, you might want to create a new user profile right at the start, just to be sure that you've got all of the default settings configured. I'm going to click here in the User Profile menu and choose Create User Profile. And I'm going to call this user New Editor so it's easy to identify. I'll click OK. The new user settings are created and now I'm getting a warning about my keyboard setting. I found that with these warnings, if you just keep clicking OK, Media Composer we'll work it out, and usually you'll find that all of the keyboard shortcuts work as you expect.
