Create subclips
- [Narrator] There's another way that you can work with sections of your source clips and it's called subclipping or creating a subclip. A subclip is a clip that appears in a bin like any other, it functions like any other, but it's really representative of just a piece of a master clip. They're very easy to create. I've got this clip still open, R04_152, in the source monitor and to create a subclip from the section just between these marks, the in and the out marks, I can drag from the monitor window into a bin. Notice that the clip name is the same, but we've got this appended section, Sub_04, as I've been practicing, and you can see I've had three subclips already for this clip and the icon is a little bit different. It's a smaller version of a regular master clip icon. Coincidentally, the design of these is based on film spools. When working with celluloid film, you'd use spools, sort of reminiscent of this, that you'd wrap a single shot around for storage and transport and…
