- [Narrator] So far we've used our smart tool to move clip segments around in our sequences. And also to trim our sequences to change the in and out box that we applied at the beginning. But there's a fifth part to the smart tool. Right down here, and it's the transition manipulation tool. Remember the functionality of the smart tool depends upon what you're clicking on. And we have a transition right here, so let's see if we can manipulate it. I'm going to zoom in so you can see a little more clearly what we're doing. Remember with the smart tool, if the cursor is towards the top of the clip we get one mode. If it's toward the bottom, we get another. If I move the cursor here over to the transition effect icon, this is the dip to color icon, I can click and drag to change the timing of the effect. As I click and drag, you'll notice we get this six way display in the composer window. In fact this should be reminiscent of the trimming mode because that's exactly what it is. What I'm…
