Accessing macOS function keys
- [Instructor] If you are editing on macOS, there's a good chance that your function keys are going to be unavailable, either because they're being used to control functions on your Mac or because you have a touch bar which is dynamically updating to change the function of that part of your keyboard. If you want to have access to the function keys in Media Composer to map functionality to, you're going to need to go into your Keyboard Preferences and choose to have the function keys work. In this screenshot, for example, there's a touch bar on this Mac laptop. And so, you want to choose to have the touch bar show the F1, F2, and so on keys. You'll find the option somewhere in the Keyboard Preferences and then immediately you'll be able to access those keys while you're working in Media Composer.
