Working with Hypergraph connections

The Hypergraph can also be used to show how objects are connected together. Let's actually build a very simple NURBS object, and we'll go ahead and show you how it works with the Hypergraph. I am just going to create a circle. Then I am going to duplicate that circle using Ctrl+D and I am going to go ahead and just move that up a little bit. Then I am going to go Shift+D to repeat that translation. So, now I have three curves. I am going to Shift+Select them all, Surfaces > Loft, and let's go ahead and shade that.

So, now I have a loft and I have a couple of circles defining that loft. So, let's take a look at how this structure looks in the Hypergraph. So, I am going to go ahead and select my lofted surface, go Window > Hypergraph:Connections. Now, what this does is it shows exactly how my object is built. So, I have a circle, another circle, a third circle, all feeding into what's called a loft, which creates a loftedSurface, and then that's shaded.
