Visualize animation

- [Instructor] When you animate objects, there are many times when you'll need to visualize your animation to see a little bit more clearly how your object is moving through the scene. So Maya has a number of different tools and they're all located under the Visualize menu in the Animation menu set. So probably the easiest one to understand is called ghosting. Now what we can do is we can actually ghost an object so that way it kind of overlays the previous frames onto the current frame. Now if we go into Ghost Selected, we can also select the options for that, and we can use what are called Global preferences or we can do Custom frame steps. We could do Custom key steps or only Keyframes. Now I'm going to leave it at Global preferences, and let's go ahead and select this rocket body and ghost it. Now when I do, notice how it overlays that animation so that way I can kind of visualize how it is going. Now if I want to get rid of this, I can go back into the Visualize menu, I can do…
