Vehicle rendering in Arnold: Glass

- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri and today we're going to take a look at rendering vehicles. This is things like cars and trucks, and we're going to focus mostly on materials, and this is going to be the first part of a couple of installments. And today we're going to take a look at glass. We're going to create glass windshields, and the headlight covers as well as the blinkers for this automobile. So let's go ahead and get started. Now the first thing I want to do is just see what I have, so I'm going to go ahead and do a quick IPR render of the scene. now we are going to be rendering in Arnold, so this is an Arnold-specific lesson. And if we let the IPR complete, you'll see that, well we really don't have any materials to speak of on this particular car, so everything is pretty much a Lambert, so we're going to have to create the materials from scratch, so I'm going to go ahead and pause my IPR, and let's go ahead and create a basic material.
