Using the Turtle renderer

- [Instructor] Hi, I'm George Maestri and today I'm going to take a look at a renderer for Maya that a lot of people don't really know about and it's called Turtle. Now, this is actually included in Maya and it is a full featured renderer and it can also be used as a baking engine for things such as games and textures. So let's go ahead and take a look at this as a renderer. Now, in order to have access to Turtle you need to turn on the plug-in so we go into windows, settings, preferences, plug-in manager, and then scroll all the way down until we find Turtle dot MLL and then we want to make sure it's loaded and if you want to load it every time go ahead and turn on auto-load. Now, when we do that we can go into our render settings window and if we use our little pull down here you'll see we now have a Turtle entry and when we turn that on, you'll see that we get a little tab here for the Turtle renderer.
