Join George Maestri for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the Modeling Toolkit, part of Maya 2015 Essential Training.
…Let's dive more deeply into editing meshes.…But, before we do that, I want to show you something…called the modeling toolkit, which may help you chew edit meshes.…Now, it's basically just a toolkit that…allows us to access our modeling tools quickly.…We can find it, by clicking in the…top right-hand corner here, that's this icon right here.…And, when we click on it, it adds one more tab to…the attribute editor and the channel box, and it's called modeling tool kit.…Now, just like the attribute editor, you can tear this off if you want.…I'm going to leave it where it is.…But, it has all sorts of ways to edit your models, and…it's just a very fast way to access some commonly used tools.…So, I'm going to go ahead and select this head or this model,…and if you want, you can go into say vertex selection mode.…You can see I'm selecting vertices here.…Edge selection mode or face selection mode.…So, those are just different ways of getting into those modes.…And, if we want, we can also move, rotate, or scale the stuff that we've selected.…
