Use isoparms to refine NURBS surfaces

- [Instructor] We've seen how to create NURBS surfaces, but let's go ahead and start refining our existing surfaces. We've already refined surfaces by reshaping them, by modifying our control vertices and so on, but let's go ahead and add some detail to an object, as well as take surfaces apart and put them back together. To do this, we need to understand a concept called an isoparm. Let me show you what an isoparm is. I'm going to go ahead and just create a simple NURBS sphere. And then I'm going to go ahead and turn off my grid, so we can see this a little bit better. An isoparm really is just one of these lines of detail around the object. In a polygonal object, you might refer to them as edge loops. We can also select isoparms as a component. If I right click above this, you can see we have Control Vertex, which we've used before, plus a whole bunch of other ones, but what we're looking for is isoparm. When I select isoparm, what happens is I can left click on this surface and…
