Use the Maya Cleanup tool to fix bad geometry

- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri, and today we're going to take a look at how to fix bad geometry with Maya's Cleanup tool. So let's go ahead and get started by creating some bad geometry. I'm going to start off with a cube. I'm going to drag it out and I need some detail here. So I'm going to go into the attribute editor and find the poly cube node. And let's give this about four subdivisions in each direction and that should give us some stuff to work with. Now the Cleanup tool is found under Mesh, Cleanup. And in this, we've got three main sections. The top section is called the Cleanup Effect, and that's basically you're telling Maya what to do. Do you want it to actually clean up the matching polygons according to these rules here, or do you want it just to select the bad polygons and allow you to clean it up manually? And then do we want to apply this to just the objects we have selected, or to everything in the scene? And then we can fix this in two ways. One is to fix by…
