Transforming the constraint

Transforming the constraint

Now we're ready to move the constraint to the edge of the door, in order to make the door hinge properly. I'll select the rigid body constraint and grab the move tool. And so that we can see this more clearly, I'll press the 4 key on the keyboard so that we switch to wireframe mode. If I just move the constraint upward, we will see something strange. The constraint actually moves to the side. And if I move it forward, we will see that it doesn't really track with the transform manipulator, the move tool. Don't panic. This is just a little bit of a minor display glitch. If you simply rewind in the timeline, that will refresh the simulation and the constraint will snap to the position of the move tool. All right. Let's go into the top view. Tap the Space bar, go over to the top view. Tap the Space bar again. And I just want to position that constraint over on the edge of the door. Dolly forward a bit. Once again remembering that the constraint won't refresh until we rewind. So I'm going…
