- [Instructor] Maya is a very robust package, and requires a fairly healthy system to run properly. Now if you're just starting out with Maya, make sure that you have a good graphics card in your system, along with plenty of memory. This will help you out a lot with Maya. Now if you're using a Macintosh, you will also need to get a three button mouse. Now if you don't have that for your Mac, go out and get one, because it will make your Maya experience that much better.
