…Now let's take a look at how to select objects in Maya.…We do this using the selection tool.…Now this is the default in Maya, but if you don't have it…defaulted, we can always just click here to get into the selection tool.…Now, the hotkey for this is the letter q or the q key.…Now, once you have the selection tool enable you…can just left-click on any object to select it.…So, if I wanted to select a chair, I can select any one of these chairs.…
If I wanted to select one of the oranges in this bowl of fruit, I can do that.…Now, if you want to select multiple objects, the Shift key is your friend.…So, I can select this chair.…Hold down my Shift key, select that chair, and then basically…just go around the table and select all of the chairs.…Now one thing I want you to notice is that…the last thing that you have selected always highlights in green.…Now this isn't important for us right now, but as we move…forward in Maya, the order of selection of objects can be very important.…
So if I were to select the bowl, notice how that highlights in green.…
