Prepping the model for rigging

- Now, before you actually get down to rigging, you'll want to do a few things to your model, just to make sure that we start off on the right foot. And that means doing things such as, naming everything properly, setting up some layers, deleting history and so on. So the first thing you want to do is just organize the geometry that you do have in the scene. So in this case, if we go into our Outliner, you'll see I've actually done a little bit of this work upfront so if I select my head here, you'll see it's under this geometry group. So in this particular group, I have all the geometry in the scene. So I have my head under that main level, and then I have a second group for all the parts of the character. So that means things like the eyes, the hair, which I've modeled separately. I've also modeled the brows separately because this is more of a cartoony character.
