- I've gone ahead and finished the left half of the vehicle.…So let's go ahead and mirror this over…to make the right and merge it all together.…We can do this with one tool,…and that's called mirror geometry.…But before I do that, I want to make sure…that my object is set up to do this properly.…We have to take a look at a few things.…First, you want to make sure that your object is at zero…and your pivot point is along that inner open edge.…
So I want to mirror along this open edge here,…so I want to make sure that my pivot is…at that point, which it is.…And then I want to make sure…that this edge is completely flat.…Now when you start to model 1/2 of an object,…we could accidentally tweak a vertex…out of center here,…so I want to make sure that everything's along the center.…And one easy way to do that is just to use a scale tool.…So I'm gonna right click, select vertex,…and just select all the vertices along that inner edge.…
And then I'm going to scale.…So I'm gonna scale along X,…and basically that'll flatten them out.…
