- [Instructor] Let's do a brief overview of Autodesk's Maya 3D software. Now, before we get started we do need to set up what's called a project in Maya. Now, Maya has a very specific way of storing its files called a project, and we need to make sure that we set our project in Maya. If I go into my exercise files folder, you'll see we have a Maya folder. And in that Maya folder is a bunch of other folders. And this is where all of our data is stored for Maya. So we need to set this top directory called Maya as a Project. So go ahead and open Maya. And then under file, set project, we can set that project to Maya. So just go to your desktop, exercise files, Maya, hit set. And once we do that, everything should be lined up so that we can just simply open the scene that we want. So if I go open scene 01 Maya intro, we should be able to open that. And there we go. So now that we have our project set, we can start…
