MASH: Waiter node

- [Voiceover] The first MASH Node we're going to look at is the MASH Waiter, and this is the hub of your MASH Network that controls everything, and it's where you add other procedural nodes. So we'll go to the Create menu, go to Polygon Primitive, then Cube just to make a simple box so we have something to illustrate with. Then we're going to go to Create, MASH, Create MASH Network. Let's open the Option box and make sure we're on Mesh and not Instancer. This is a technical, under the hood thing that we'll get into more later, but for all the examples we're going to go over for now, Mesh is what we want. So then I hit Apply and Close. And then I've got a line of cubes and I'll just re-frame a little bit to get these in the center of my screen. You can see in our Attribute Editor, we have this MASH1 node and that it's called the MASH Waiter. And they call it that because this is sort of where things are served up. And we have a little menu here that shows the Count number. This is the number of objects that are currently in the MASH Network. And then the main part we're concerned about here is this are that's under Add Node. And you see a bunch of icons for Audio, Curve, Delay and so on. And these are the different kinds of procedural controls you can add to your MASH Network to do different things. If we go to our sort of outliner and perspective view here, let's make sure we're only looking at DAG objects for the minute just to make this menu smaller, and you can see that we have this MASH1 node here as well, and that is the MASH Waiter, and that's a little icon for it, and that is the main center of your scene. You can see that there's a bunch of other nodes that have been added, and you see in the Outliner, you see the Repromesh, but then in the Attribute Editor, you see MASH1_Distribute, MASH1_Color, Time, etc. These are other nodes that get created that form the basis of your MASH Network and we'll go through those one by one as we go on.
