Inflating a soft body with Pressure
The last feature we will look at in this course is pressure, which is a way of inflating a soft body so that we can, for example, make a ball bounce. A precondition of this is that you have a good structure to the soft body. And ideally all the polygons should be the same size. And I couldn't really achieve that with Maya tools because a standard sphere is going to have poles at the top and bottom. And you can try using an icosahedron and smoothing it. But once again, the polygons will not all be the same size, and they will have strange poles on them. What I did end up doing is using the 3Ds Max GeoSphere Primitive. Take a look at that. I'll select that ball and press the F key. Tumble around so you can see that all the polygons are the same size. And that's just for best results so that the object will deform evenly. Okay, let's make the ground plane a passive collision object. Select that ground plane, go into the Bullet menu, and choose Create Passive Rigid Body options. And we…
