- Hi, I'm George Mastrey, and today we're going to take a look at Maya Performance, and we're going to look at Viewports, and how to get the most out of Viewport 2.0. Now, with the more recent versions of Maya, Viewport 2.0 is becoming more and more the go-to place to view your scenes. Now, if you want to get the most out of this, let's go ahead and take a look. Now, I have a very simple scene here, and as you can see, it's just a very simple character animation. Now, your scenes and your projects may be different, but a lot of what I'm going to show you will apply across the board. Now, with Viewport 2.0, we have a number of options for acceleration, so let's go ahead and go into our options, here. By default, it does not have any acceleration. This vertex animation cache is really important to speed. Right now it's disabled, we have two options here. One is for system, which uses the system memory to cache the scene.
