- [Narrator] Creating material libraries is easy in Maya using the import and export commands found in the Hypershade. And the material library in Maya is simply an ordinary Maya scene that only has materials in it. So let's create a new material library with just two materials in it. I've got the parquet flooring here in my gallery and also this plinth or sculpture stand. And I've got materials assigned to those already. I'll create a file that includes just those two materials. Then import that into another scene. So first let's select the materials on those objects. And to make that easier to see let's open up the Hypershade browser if you don't already have it open. I'll go to window, browser. And to select the materials on selected objects we can just drag a selection rectangle to select those objects. Go into the Hypershade menu. And choose edit, select materials from objects. And then their material nodes are…
