- So now that we understand…how to create stretchy leg joints,…let's go ahead and create a stretchy spine.…Now what we're going to do is we're just going to stretch…each individual joint, but before we do that,…we have to draw a spine.…So I'm going to go ahead and just,…let's just turn off the teeth and eyes of this character,…and I'm going to template the Body Geometry Layer.…So now, what we need to do is draw a spine…straight up the middle of this character.…Now this character is pretty much cylindrical…so it should be pretty easy to draw a spine…and since he really doesn't have much…of an arch to his back,…we can draw the spine pretty much through the middle.…
So let's go ahead and start off…by creating a basic hip joint for the character.…The hip joint is going to be very close…to the top of the legs.…In fact, I'm going to turn on Snap to grid and use that.…So I'm going to draw a hip joint…that's slightly above the top of the legs,…and then, just one grid point away,…I'm going to draw another one,…so this will be the base of my spine, OK?…
