Create wireframe renders using toon shaders
- [George] Hi I'm George Maestri, and today we're going to take a look at how to do wireframe renders in Maya. Now if you're a modeler, or you want to show off a model, it's often a good idea to render a shaded version of the object with the wires superimposed over that. So I'm going to show you a simple way to do that, so you can actually show off your modeling skills. So here we have a basic model here, it's just a simple bolt. And if we were to render this, you'll notice that by default we have the Arnold Renderer. And this looks kind of like a bolt. But in order to do this, we're going to be using the Toon Shader. And unfortunately the Toon Shader does not work with Arnold, so we're going to have to use the Maya Software Renderer to do this technique. Now the first thing I want to do is go ahead and just add a toon outline to my object. So I'm going to go ahead and select this object. And then we're going to go into the Rendering menu set. And under Toon we have a couple of…
