Create hierarchies
- [Instructor] Let's go a little deeper into the Outliner, and learn how to create hierarchies. Now there are many times when you'll want to have objects connected to one another. You'll want to move an object, and have other objects move with it. And here we have a turntable. So if I wanted to move this turntable, the obvious thing to do, is select this base and move it. But, as you can see, we really don't have anything connected. So, if we go into Window, Outliner, and take a look at what we have. You'll see that we have what's called Flat Heirachy. So everything is basically on the same level. Now, if I want to actually move things, and have things connected to one another, I need to start building a hierarchy. So, I have this object here called Turntable_Bottom, and that's the wood base. I'd like that to be my main part of the hierarchy. So when I move this, I want everything to follow along. Now we can create hierarchies, by selecting objects, middle clicking and dragging them…
