- Hi there. Today we're going to take a look at the Tension deformer which will help you with skinning. Now it's very similar to Delta mush and I find it to be a complimentary tool to it. So here I have a character and I already have some Delta mush on him. So we're going to focus on this area around the arms here. And as you can notice, we're getting some bulging and some unwanted stretching here when he does this. And so what we can do is we can add a Tension deformer to help smooth that out. Now tension is usually used for things that are stretching. I find Delta mush works best for things that are compressing. So armpits would be Delta mush and then anything that stretches would be tension. So let's take a look at this. I'm going to apply tension to the whole mesh and very similar to how we work with Delta mush. So I'm going to go into my rigging tools to form and let's do tension.
