The last thing we like to explore here in chapter on Paint Effects is how to…control polygon output.…We saw this a little bit earlier when we were looking inside the Brush Settings…to control the polygon level of detail.…But we need to take a second to look at this and explore a couple of…special-case scenarios.…First of all, not all Paint Effects tubes are actually built out of polygons.…You'll see polygons in the viewport, but the renderer doesn't necessarily see it that way.…For example, the Daisy Large Brush that I got from the shelf doesn't draw…polygons when it renders, by default.…
So if I render this now, you'll see, in fact, that it's built out of a whole lot…of little circular paint stamps.…So, this is one reason why you don't want to get up too close to these Paint Effects.…So, this is using a Paint Effects type called Paint, and this is very efficient.…It renders very quickly.…But it's got some limitations, like, for example, it's not capable of…casting true shadows.…I am going to go ahead and store that so you can compare it to the mesh…

Q: When I create a new document and attempt to use the Fly tool, it works as expected. When I try to use the Fly tool with any of the downloaded exercise files, I get the following error message:
// Error: setAttr: A child attribute of 'camera1.rotate' is locked or connected and cannot be modified.
A: In some of the lessons, the camera is locked. That's by design.
If you want to unlock the camera, go to the Camera panel menu directly above the viewport. Choose View > Select Camera. Now look in the Channel Box. The Translate or Rotate channels may be grayed out. Click-drag the names (not the numbers) to select multiple channels. Then right-click and choose Unlock Selected.
One exception: if you see a channel displaying in blue, that means the camera is constrained to something. For example, the Rotate channels could be aim-constrained to the camera's aim point. You don't need to unlock these and you shouldn't try to change them or keyframe them.
